Inspired by the story of the boy who saves starfish, one by one, the foundation has also helped families with young children in the US who have been in life crises. One of these was single mom “Betty”, who had been living in a car with her 3 young children for a long time.

She tells the story best herself;

“It`s almost been a month since you and your team blessed us with our own home. I still can’t find the words to express my gratitude.
You are heaven sent, you came in at a time I felt like giving up, like failing was the only thing in store for me.

You gave me hope, you gave me another chance. Little by little, as I start to make this place feel like home, it hits me, that I don’t have to worry everyday about my next move will be.

I don’t have to cry at night trying to figure out how I will get back on my feet.

I really can’t say thank you enough and I’ll probably never be able to pay you back but I promise to always, always pay it forward. You are all amazing people with hearts of gold, and I am truly forever endebted.
